A Thank You and On to the Good Stuff.....

Friends,

Thank you for your support in regard to the situation that I presented you with. In one respect I feel like I was preaching to the choir... However, who would understand, and give perspective, like other folks who enjoy beer as I do? Thank You again....

Now, onto the good stuff!!! As I am a newbie here, I will introduce myself in regards to our past time :-). Although I enjoyt MANY different types, styles, etc. of beer, I am finding myself currently enjoying more pale ales than I have in many years. I usually like a good red or darker. In fact, my absolute fave beer ever is Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. However, my tastes seem to be broadening to include some of the "crisper" ales. Currently, I am stuck on Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale. Now, I must admit that the 420 available in the bottle is not as good as the 420 I partake of at the brewery once a week but it is still, in my humble opinion, the best pale ale I have had in years. Anybody else had this nectar or have other suggestions of the same ilk?

Glad I could help! I am "The Beer Peasant" so I can't offer commentary on the Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale, but I did see it on TV and wondered if the name has any ties to the "pothead" 420 reference? Just curious...I tried the recommended Belhaven last weekend and was shocked at how different beer could be. It was liberating!
