Attention Old-timers....

It's killing me. I've got to know...

Is there anyone out there, that used to drink Schlitz beer, "back in the day"? I guess they changed the formula for Schlitz back around the mid-seventies, and the watered down version sold today is merely a fragment of what once was. But in 1974, Schlitz was the number two biggest selling beer in the country, and came within a few thousand barrels of claiming the #1 position over Bud. Then, of course, disaster struck....

Does anyone remember what Schlitz really tasted like? Did anyone here drink Schlitz on a regular basis, enough to remember and describe it's characteristics? I lie awake sometimes at night, wondering. I even had a dream that I got transported back in time to 1965, only to find out that my

2005 currency was considered counterfeit at the Schlitz beer stand...

Anyone? Can anyone remember *real* Schlitz, back when it was piled high in every walk-in cooler in America???

thanks beer drinkers...

They did. She was there when the first kegs were loaded on the truck in Brooklyn. She didn't look too happy being there.
