Beer and food....

We've all heard of wine and cheese, but what goes good with beer? My suggestion is to get you a 24oz can of Busch Lite and drink it with most anything from ice cream to donuts to pork chops to fried chicken. It makes no difference since water goes good with all food. And a little tingle and carbonation doesn't ruin Busch Lite from being a great water.

Pesonally I don't like Busch Lite. Too flavorless. I do enjoy some other American beers now and then, and also branch out into the "top shelf" brands like Sierra Nevada's offerings on occasion. But you're right, most of the Busch products are weak at best. Try Amheiser Bush products for more flavor - they are far superior to Busch Lite.

Now as for foods - you should branch out more from the standard "down home" American fare. Not only is the stuff you quote terrible for your health, it's also expensive (have you priced a KFC 9 piece bucket lately?) and too heavy for any kind of beer. Try something lighter like croutons or popcorn to go with your favorite brew.

Regard,

James

How cute! The trolls are responding to the trolls!

Can one troll out-troll the other troll?

How many brands of beer they profess to like will they mis-spell?

Personally, I prefer the Tasmanian Boags with ice cream. There is no greater food/drink combination as far as I know. Tasmanian beer and vanilla ice cream. It's heaven on Earth, if there was an Earth, but there's not, it's only an illusion.

I've AOLways been fond of Magic Hat with brownies. Next time, I'll add ice cream to my freshly baked brownies and see if that goes well with my beer!

I'll bet Heart of Darkness is good with brownies or ice cream.

More info would be gained by what foods go with a hi quality beer...like Ommegang for instance as an example...a unique nice beer.

There are many lousy beers out there...do not really see your point.

You're responding to a troll. Ignore it. It might be a good topic to re-start, but without the troll's involvement.

Good luck.

Oh, Guess

I had a Guinness Stout with some BBQ'ed brats (lots of mustard, too), seemed like a pretty good combination. Sat well too.
