Beer Cans Found

I have two Ballentine Gold Beer Cans. There is a number on the bottom of the cans, D7746. One has been opened on the top the other on the bottom. Could you provide any information about them. Thank you

What kind of "information" are you looking for? (This newsgroup tends to be about beer, rather than "breweriana", the collecting of brewery items).

The cans themselves have a lot more info that you didn't supply, like the brewery name and city(ies), type of material (steel or aluminum), type of top (required opener or "pull tab"). Also, is the name of the beer really "Ballantine Gold Beer" (which I never heard of...) or do you have "Ballantine gold (colored) beer cans"?

Ballantine was a very large brewery in the 50's and 60's, so the cans are common. The beer's popularity slowly died after Falstaff took over, but the cans (colored gold) are quite common. So, unless you have something really rare, the "value" is probably, *at best*, "a coupla bucks" IF you could even find someone willing to buy them. Check eBay for current values (something tells me they go for less than the shipping costs).
