beer in Prague

I will spend two whole free days in Prague this September. I'd like to know what a beer lover must see, and more importantly, must drink, in this fabled city. I noticed on the web that most brewery tours there seem to be connected to commercial tour groups. I don't want that. I just want to know which breweries, bars, etc. one can visit at will and enjoy the best Czech beer.

I think you're making your life difficult. Just go to any bar, have a few beers and talk to the patrons.

Budweiser Budvar..(Called Czeckvar in the USA) on tap would be one of my choices :) I would let it warm up just a bit bringing out more malt than it has cold. It has some nice malt cold but a little warming brings out the malt nicely in that beer.
