Actually, the only meaningful way to compare temperatures by ratio is to use degrees Kelvin (consider what "five times zero degrees Celsius" means, or doing the ratio using degrees Celsius versus degrees Fahrenheit). So if I did the math right that 55F would be approximately 286 Kelvin, and five times that would be 1430 Kelvin, or about 2115 degrees Fahrenheit[*]. Your ribs would be somewhat overcooked at that temperature, and that beer would be instantly vaporized. (Insert plug for new alcohol inhalant product here.)

[*] In the spammer's universe, that would be *ten* *times* the boiling point of water!1!11!!!1! W00t!

P.S. I prefer smoking ribs at about 225F. Dry, not wet. Served with beer, of course.
