I'm back from another trip...

La Folie is what Rodenbach Grand Cru ought to be - or nearly, as Peter Bouckaert has not the same volume of beer and number of vessels as Rodenbach-Palm do. Rodenbach is where he learned his trade. Joris

Are you a Belgian beer fan? I've been a Belgian beer fan for about 5 years, since we took a vacation holiday to Brussels, Brugge, Ghent and the surrounding areas. I'm venturing over on my own the week of Thanksgiving on a beerlovers journey through the museums and breweries of Belgium. Couldn't talk the wife into joining me on this one.

Fandamntastic idea. In addition to Tim Webb's _Good Beer Guide to Belgium and Holland_, make absolutely sure that you also get yourself a copy of _LambicLand_, by Tim Webb, Chris "Podge" Pollard, and Joris Pattyn. If you are even a little bit interested in lambics, it will be one of your most worthwhile investments.

The girl doesn't know a good thing when she sees it! Unless she's gotta stay home and be somebody's mom, anyway . . .

They did that in Georgia, if it helps any.

I just got a signed edition of Tim Webb's Good Beer Guide 2 weeks ago. I'll have to pick up the LambicLand book.

Thanks for the advice!

It certainly did.

(I got the Bison Brewery Chocolate Stout in Athens, Ga.)

Hi Bill,

Yeah, I thought so, too.

I really wanted to try it, though. I don't think I'll buy it again unless the price gets a lot more reasonable.

Well, I see you fellows talking about IPAs, hopped up beers, and stuff; not so much about the dark stuff.

That's what makes it such a prize!

Ah, that's why I bought it, because I love the porter.

Grant's Perfect Porter is one of my favorites. It's a really nice beer to kick back with at the end of the day.

Well, darn.

I *just* pulled the cork and I guess I got one of the good ones. Hehe..

The first couple of sips kind of caught me a bit off guard. VERY complex flavours invaded my palate but...now...I'm beginning to appreciate this double stout for exactly that reason. I'll buy this one again, for sure.

Best regards, Bill
