Interesting Anheuser Busch sign

In 1994, A-B came out with a "craft" beer, Elk Mountain Amber Ale to compete with microbrews.

It was named after the A-B hop farm in Idaho, as noted, and was promoted with point-of-sale signs, etc. Like this one (half way down the page, under 3-D signs).

Yet, somehow the brand must have existed pre-Prohibition, as this sign is from the early 1900's!

(I missed the obvious clue first time I looked at the sign and auction description. Note the artist's initials? TM ).
