My latest BOTM shipment...

Got 2 quality products from Saranac(Matts): Their Pale Ale...I find the hops in this brew very refreshing. But then, I always had a liking for Kent Goldings and Fuggles. I also, surprisingly, liked their Black and Tan.

Bert Grant's Scottish Ale and Perfect Porter: Both had that grainy taste to them but are not worse than good on my rating scale. The Porter, with its chocolaty taste to it and being a mere 3.8% abv would make a good session beer for me if it was available locally.

All in all, I'm quite satisfied with July's offerings.

Best regards, Bill

Yeah, I tried Saranac's Black and Tan once, and thought it was pretty good.

I recently tried Grant's Lazy Days pale ale, IPA, Scottish Ale, Mandarin Hefeweizen and Perfect Porter. The porter was by far my favorite of the lot.
