What was your starting gravity? 1.001 (from the hops?

It sounds like alchemy-- a yeast that will turn water into booze.
Does it really take eleven and half ounces of hops to ferment out two ounces of hops? Sounds like overkill.

One professional brewer (De Dolle Brouwers) HAS already done a fermented hopdrink. But I have NEVER heard about somebody trying to ferment WITH hops, as you suggest... ;^}Joris
