New brewer coming to Casper

..To the Wonder bar, my fav in town.

He brought a keg of what he calls, Altitude Pale Ale, with him and I sampled a couple of pints today. Damn good stuff, I easily put it ahead of the Mirror Pond from Deschutes and that's a pretty good one. It has a pretty strong hop presence(lol...he's from Colorado) but there is some decent malt overtones so I'd call it pretty balanced. My fav PA to date has been the New River but I can't really compare them as it's been too long since I've tasted the latter.

Btw...my lasted Beer of the Month shipment came in and 2 brews each from Great Divide, St. Bridget's Porter(Way too coffee flavored for me) and Hot Shot ESB(decent for the style if a bit light flavoured) and Clipper City Brewing, Clipper City Gold(could be a good session beer) and Winter Storm "Category 5" Ale.(A very nice IPA!)

Also...last Saturday, I travelled to Lander(WY) to check out the brews of the Lander branch of the Snake River Brewery. Let's just say, for now, the

300 mile round trip was worth it. More details to come.

Best regards, Bill
