Pumpkin Ales and Paris Beers

One of my favorite beer spots in Paris is Au Trappiste at 4, rue St Denis. They have an amazing assortment of Belgian beers available on tap and bottled. I've always found the atmosphere fun and the barstaff very friendly and ready with suggestions as you make that crucial next beer decision.

I suppose I liked Harry's Bar for beer. Nothing special but a long history of providing drinks to the American expatriates. The amazing thing for me was watching the motorcylists or mopedists drive up to and then onto the curb and park. Everyone did it and it makes sense from a parking point-of-view.

I'm definitely going back next year.

The burgers at Harry's Bar are pretty good, too. Also, have you tried O'Neill's, any of the Frog Pubs or the Bombardier? O'Neills is a traditional lively Irish pub, the Frog Pubs brew their own and the Bombardier is a great place to get English cask brewed ales and watch soccer if you are so inclined.

No, but the one place I did make note of is La Guiotine Pub which must be around the Rue Jacob because I walked there one day. They supposedly have some large number of beers on tap. Next year I'll give your suggestions a try.

Thanks Pjk
