I checked out Vintage Cellar online. They show a New River Pale Ale for, $5.95 a sixer? Is that the same stuff?

Yep, because distribution is good enough in the U.S. that the good stuff from Germany and the Czech Republic show up here. I can get Jever and Staropramen here, but I doubt people in Prague have cases of Prima Pils lying around.

Damn, it certainly could be, but I thought it was draft-only. It's definitely worth trying; it comes from the same brewery as Tupper's, after all.

Get some, baby.

One of my top beers of all time was a sample of Tuppers Hop Pocket Hunters XXXXXX. A friend bought a bottle at auction and shared it at a gathering--a very ramped up version of Hop Pocket, IIRC, basically an old ale. Complicated, vinous masterpiece.
