Because pulling heavy trailers is much easier with a dually. And because it can carry loads far beyond the load capacity of a non-dually pickup truck.

Few people buy a 3/4 ton truck just because they like the style, most of the ones I see are either work trucks which oftentimes carry heavy loads of wood or steel depending on the profession of their owner - or they pull heavy trailers, containing everything from cattle to boats.

I have a Dodge RAM 1500, which sees very few miles outside my trips with a heavy trailer in tow. Would I want to drive it as an everyday vehicle? No. Would I want to pull my trailer with a Chevy Impala? Not in a million years.

Greetvermouths yerownself!

I don't love traffic. I agree that my F350 *is* horrible. I bought it for $2250 so I'd have something I can haul:

1.) Trash to my township recycle center, 2.) Stuff that won't fit in my Honda's saddlebags, in the BMW, the Jaguar, or the back of the Grand Cherokee, 3.) Small loads (200 bales) of hay, on a haywagon, behind me, 5.) A small trailer for stuff that won't fit in the bed of the truck, 6.) A horse trailer, to get where my wife wants to ride them or to get them to top-notch veterinary treatment at the University of Wisconsin/Madison, about 150 miles away, and 7.) My daughter to school on winter days when nothing else will start (it has a block heater).

Mine's only got four. '79 was the last year for that. Dang!

No; I enjoy ruining the petrol resources *racing*! That's why I leave the truck home (until it someday becomes a 'Tow Vehicle' - I hope!) and go to Road America most summer weekends. Now *that's* fun!

No you don't. I live in 'Les Sticks'.

Probably for the same reason *you* use a huge recipe as your moronic sig line. Because it annoys people.
