Say you go into an establishment and they don't have any good microbrewed beers. What mainstream beer do you order ?
I usually order Rolling Rock, which my beer-snob friends pick on me for drinking, but hey, I like the stuff.

It's a long story from years ago, but pretty much the only mainstream beer I drink is Budweiser. It's no worse than anything else, and it's the first American beer I liked.
Short version of a long story: it was a really hot day; i was stuck standing in the sun; when finally released I ran straight to the beer cooler (garbage can of ice) and drank the first thing I grabbed. It was the best beer ever. It was a bud.
None.
Unless Sam Adams counts as mainstream now, since it's on just about everywhere.

Here in Chicago, I go with Special Export, Strohs or PBR in that order. The first two are hard to find, but PBR is now everywhere, having almost disappeared from the Chicago market a decade ago.
Perry
Bourbon.

Here in Washington the worst dive serves one or all of the following Redhook ESB, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, or Alaskan Amber. If I were to find myself in Mississippi I would order whatever they had on tap. Is there really much of a difference between Mega lagers? Bud Coors Miller all the same when you serve them ice cold
None. I don't drink macro beer because it's crappy-tasting stuff. I don't want it, and I'd rather have water. Fortunately, in the Twin Cities, Summitt EPA is available basically everywhere, so I never have to face that particular conundrum.
Most every bar I've been in has at least one semi-micro Sam Adams. Otherwise a Bud, Miller or Coors would do just fine.
I don't. I'd rather drink water. If the "establishement" has a liquor license, chances are they'll have Maker's Mark to accompany.
The last time I can remember being in such an "establishment" was on the order of two decades ago, though, so such an occurrence is a rarity (fortunately).
Soon, it will be nearly indistinguishable from Bud, since it will probably be brewed at the A-B plant in Newark.
Drink up!
PBR or Genuine Draft.
Root beer.
Heh, I have a friend who bartends, and if she catches us ordering a Rolling Rock, she slaps us.
I like Fritos, but I don't want that taste in my beer.
But then again, my secret shame is that in my group of friends we still play a drinking game (Cocoa Crunchies; it's an in-group thing) and that means the fridge where we play is always stocked with cheap canned beer. That's not Bud Miller Coors, but more like Hamms Busch Milwaukee's Best (etc).

I would guess Guiness, Murphys, any dark Czech lagers, a doppelbock or a lambic. Lambic isn't that mainstream, but that depends on country of course. In Holland, you can find them almost in every joint. Hah..

Was in St Louis on business, & ask bartender my usual question "you got any good local beer? and he looked at me real funny and said. "Yeah. Budweiser." I ordered a tequila & tonic, but I'm still amazed!
