Yes, somebody knows. But as it's a health issue, why ask random, unknown people rather than directly contacting the people who brew the beer? I'm sure they'd be more than happy to give you an accurate answer.
I did contact them, but Sam Adams seems like a big company that won't answer in a timely fashion, so I thought I'd post here as well...
It is alleged that Jason Maur claimed:
Last I checked, Boston Lager is brewed with barley, not wheat. It's almost certainly brewed using the same equipment as their other offerings, though. Same would hold true of any brewery.
The first thing I would do is ask your GP or allergist if beer brewed with wheat should be a concern. If it is a concern then you could contact Sam Adams to ask whether their beer contains wheat or not.
Don't call them and ask whether their beer should be consumed by someone with a wheat allergy. They should not be expected to give medical advice like that.

On 10/3/2007 6:08 AM Jason Maur ignored two million years of human evolution to write:
Geez, I didn't even know that SABL had a wheat allergy. The things you learn on Usenet.
Unless you personally contact someone at the brewery and are assured that SABL has no wheat in it, drink German lagers. They're 100% barley.
