About 10 years ago I gave up beer due to health problems and am now able to again enjoy an occasional brew. Just about everything I drink now taste sweet to me. So far all I have tried are popular domestics, Mich Bud, Miller ....and they are all sweet YUK. Have my taste buds changed or is it the beer. My wife who doesnt like beer tried some and she said it was sweet too and she liked it.

Go and find a local brewpub, or go to a local shop that has a good selection of beer and try a style called India Pale Ale. That shouldn't be too sweet for you.

I had some BBQ tonight and enjoyed some British bitter beer. Excellent.
Well maybe excellent was a bit of an overstatement but it was pretty good. Many years ago I had bitter beer in England. The imported stuff doesnt have the same body as I remember.
What was the brand?

Dont remember know, I'll have to go back for more BAR B Q. I remember the taste of the bitter beers I had in England back in the 70s. The import tasted a little watered down compared to those but still the best beer I had in a while. The beer in England tasted like your could mix it with flour and raise bread with it.
The US is now making excellent beers asswell. Check out your local brewery or brewpub.
