Considering the huge success of The Walking Dead, its no surprise a brewery has stepped up to make a tribute beer but boy, are they aiming for accuracy.
Philadelphia-based Dock Street Brewing Co. has announced the craft brew Dock Street Walker, which is being billed as the unofficial beer of the zombie apocalypse. The secret ingredient? Roasted brains. Seriously.
Thankfully, its at least not human brains. Youll have to wait until after the real zombie apocalypse for that delicacy (or go all Hannibal Lecter on it). Instead, the brew master is roasting goat brains to include in the concoction to give it that special zest. Yum?

Dock Street Walker (7.2% ABV) is an American Pale Stout, brewed with substantial amounts of malted wheat, oats, and flaked barley for a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes, while the cranberries create a sinister, bloody hue, and a slight tartness. The pre-sparge- brain-addition provides the beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don't be surprised if its head doesn't hang around forever.
Honestly, it actually sounds pretty delicious. The beer will debut at a March 30 screening of the Walking Dead season finale at the brewerys pub in West Philly. So if youre in that neck of the woods, have one for us. For a tease, check out the roasting goat brains below.
