I have a 1994 bottle I've been saving for a rainy day. Damn drought!

Contrary to the popular opinion, this is one beer that I couldn't choke down. There have been very few glasses of beer that I have dumped down the sink, but this was one of them. It was vinegary and just nasty. It was from a bottle, and in the USA, and so it may be that it was badly handled before it got to me. I'm not anxious to try again.

I'll bet that you are right in your assumption re badly handled though a beer that claims to age well for years to come would have to see some extreme mishandling. Yeah, I can see that happening. :^(

I think I'll just drink the one in the cellar -- bottled 1993. Probably about ready.

Let us know how it compares with Killyian's Irish Red.
