'Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem' Pub

Supposedly the oldest pub in England (Nottingham). (Ironically, it was filled with Japanese tourists the day that I visited, he he.). Does anyone know what the local bitter is there, I recalled that I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks, C

Is that place even older than the Haunch of Venison in Salisbury? Gad, I went there a few yrs back and the bar was solid zinc taken from a shipwreck. (Or that was their story.) Great bar, very cozy. Locals looked like Judas Priest roadies, but were very cool, affable chaps. Place felt ancient, but what do I know? I grew up in Los Angeles, where nothing's old, and if if becomes "old" it gets plowed under for more parking or a block of condos.

Judas Priest roadies, he he..I like that! Yeah, L.A. here too. Like Steve Martin said in "L.A. Story" ..."You know, some of these buildings are over fourty years old!" c

I like the gag where Martin feels up the gal's breasts and then says there's...something...DIFFERENT about them. And she replies, "That's because they're REAL!"

It's been said before: In the USA, 100 years is a long time. In Europe, 100 kilometers is a long distance.
