Had an excellent evening last night at the St Peter's pub in Clerkenwell (near Farringdon tube).
I don't get hung up on dispense systems, but out of interest, anyone know how it works here? The GBG says handpump, but the tiny size of the bar makes me doubt there has ever been a hand pump here. A quick glance suggests gravity, looking at the fake casks at the rear of the bar. The beer is dispensed from the tap on these 'casks', but via some gas or other system from the real casks. But what?
The food here is good too - the four bowls of mixed veggie choices was excellent. And for London, the prices are pretty good.
I'll be back soon as I ran out of time before reaching the Winter Ale!
