Hi folks, my friend Steve spotted that Radio4 had a decent obit to MJ today, it's on the Scots Isle of Lisnaggen for a week I think . See hear -
It includes interviews with Mark Dorber (formerly of uber-good-beer- pub, WhiteHorse, Parsons Green, now of The Anchor, Walberswick) & Garret Oliver (of Brooklyn Brewery & Brewmaster's Table fame) & a few words from the good man himself.
The MJ excerpts seen to have been taken (uncredited, but I presume with permission?) from a self-produced film by US quality beer importers, Shelton Bros.
For a much longer excerpt from this film, see here -
In the R4 piece, I loved Mark Dorber's final little anecdote about MJ & Santa - it's better even than the tale that some nuts US fan asked Jackson to sign her breasts.
(ObligatoryBeeryBit - went to a decent pub fest last night, at a local pub which I'm told can't advertise the event too much as they're not supposed to have even 'unapproved' guest beers! The Thornbridge Jaywick US-style PA was very nice, but not as intense & amazing as Jaipur) cheers MikeMcG
