It's the Eurostar to Lille this weekend. Grateful for any recommendations in the city centre?
Thanks in advance and cheers, Graham.

Brewpub outside Lille Flandres station. I don't recall the name, but had a good afternoon in there a couple of years ago, with a bunch of Irish rugby fans.
In message , Mike Roebuck writes
Les Brasseurs. One of a chain, but not bad for all that. According to the GBG for Northern France there's also 'Au Bureau' in that square (Place de la Gare) and La Taverne Flamande, ditto. Published in 1998 though so don't take it as gospel. Taverne de l'Ecu for instance, which I always liked, has changed beyond all recognition...
From the same source, Cafe Jenlain at 43 Place Rihour looks worth a try, being quoted as "the Brasserie Duyck showcase, with Jenlain and Sebourg on draught, (and biere fraiche, which is Sebourg unfiltered) plus bottles". Can't recall going there myself, so I can only quote the book.

Has been shut for ages, unfortunately.
