Are electric pumps still in use? I haven't seen one for years.

Carbonation and cooling - How does the jury feel about Zerodegrees beers?

I'll change the FAQ though to be honest I wonder if anyone reads it!

It's an institution worth keeping. If you want a web home for it then it can live on my site.

  • Electric pumps: Probably worth putting into the antique category.
  • But what's this about Wells/Youngs and some incredibly expensive bit of plastic and chrome as a jumbo handpump? Perhaps something along the lines of "if the pump doesn't appear to be muscle-powered then be suspicious". We have all been here before with brewers trying to pass one thing of as another - fuzzing the boundaries suits the accountants very well.
  • Should there be an update to the FAQ about the current state of the pub industry? I'm not keen to write it, so only make the suggestion off-the-cuff while the FAQ is in the spotlight. (Q:Why has my local closed?)

(I left "carbonation and zerodegrees" well alone presuming it to be just a troll.)

I don't know if you have to change it; I was just saying that *I* haven't seen one; maybe others here (esp West Midlands based) have?

I was just asking if others felt it was dubious as Real Ale.

A very few Robinsons pubs still have them. Have they all gone from the erstwhile Banks's/Hansons estate now?
