Difference between bottled and canned Guinness?

Which is better quality and why?

Thanks.

No contest. Definitely the canned Guinness (assuming it's the 50L can).

Taste them both and let us know what you think.

Why take our word for it?

Look at the label. If you're in New York, USA and it has the widget it will be made where it should be made. (ah, Mothers Milk...) Now if it's just the plain bottled stuff, odds are it's made in CANADA !!!!!! I pointed this out to a Guinness salesman and he didn't even know about it. Now the difference between canned and bottled widgets is hard to say. I prefer the bottled but still have some getting used to the "Serve ICED Cold" on the label. Now the difference between Canadian and the "real thing" is pretty plain to tell. More body, richer flavor and head, slight smokiness in the REAL GUINNESS !!! I'm sorry, but Canadian brewed Guinness is well.... Well it d*mn well sucks and it shouldn't even be called Guinness ! By the way the widgets have come in a variety of shapes... flat discs anchored on the bottom, round balls, and the finned torpedo type. They all have the small hole and blow gas to produce the nitrogenous head. Hope I helped.
