New Belgian Beers at TJ's?

I saw some ratings on a couple of sites of beers called Angelique and Diabolique apparently now at Trader Joe's in CA. Has anyone in the group tried these yet?

just saw them today but being short on beer money this month I passed on them for the time being but I'll probably head back in a couple weeks to try them.

It looks like one is a strong golden ale (Diabolique) the Angelique is advertised as a lighter ale but it runs aroun 7.5% abv if I remember correctly.

Trader Joe's headquarters is in Monrovia, CA. California is also the only state where they sell Two-Buck Chuck or Charles Shaw wine for $1.99/750ml, or so they say. I talked to a TJ's employee in San Diego and asked why they don't sell any Stone products, our favorite local beer. He said that he'd love to have it in stock, but TJ's system doesn't allow for local deliveries and every thing must go thru the Pasadena warehouse. That doesn't sound like a cost-saving policy to me. Trader Joe must be a control freak, either that or he sticks to deals that can beat any local contracts. My favorite beer that they carry here is Hop Ottin' IPA, $6.99/6-12oz. I'd love to find Stone Ruination at that price.

Trader Joe's sells beer in several states, not just CA. Oregon and Washington, too, and others. PA has some of the quirkiest beer- retailing laws in the entire country, and for folks who haven't travelled much outside of PA, it comes as something of a surprise that beer can be easily bought in supermarkets and convenience stores. Fact is, though, that's the norm in much of the country; PA's retailing system of "beer distributors" for large quantities and bars for up to three six-packs is a peculiarity unique to that state.
