Adjusting recipes

I have discovered an Imperial stout recipe that is all-grain, but it is a 10 gallon recipe. I am set up for 5 gallon brewing. I have used a calculator that has been linked on this ng and it seemed to just half the recipe. Is it as simple as just dividing the grains in half to adjust the batch size or is it more complicated than that?

Just cut the recipe in half. I usually brew 2.5 gallon batches using recipes for 5 or more gallons. I just adjust all of the quantities accordingly. Likewise, if I develop a 2.5 gallon recipe that I like, I might make 5 gallons the next time by doubling everything. It really is as simple as that.
