No chemicals used here, just 100% all natural as dictated by Reinheitsgebot. For more information, take a look at this book -

That info will be found under the heading 'Secret Shit'. Nobody knows and if they do and tell the eliminated.

Well I'm also home brewer and I know how it goes...

Thing is that I'm supposed to assist on filming beer comercial for television and if I'll need to pure beer every time they need head, well a LOT of beer will go down the drain (they repeat shots hundreds of times)... that is whay I ask about chemicals, I know they exist but do not know which ones are used in such purpose...

So any help would be appreciated,

Who says that head on a beer in a commercial is real? I know for cereal commercials they use a mixture of dilluted glue for the milk, b/c it looks better on film. And ice cream is made from crisco and food coloring (otherwise it would melt under the lights). My guess is most beer in beer commercials isn't 100% beer. I would try to find a book at the library on product photography, or post your question on a newsgroup for film/photo.

There's this stuff that they sell in one of my catalogues that says it improves head retention..it's in Midwest Brew Supply catalogue. I've never used it. It comes in liquid form and you just add a drop or two in the carboy. Also they say sasparilla helps with head retention as well. good luck with the commercial

Cara-Pils is a very unique dextrine-style malt that adds body, foam retention and beer stability without influencing color or flavor. Use up to 5%, for most 5 gallon batches my recipes call for 1/4 - 1/2 pound.
