Anyone have a recipe for a knockoff of Boddington's pub ale? I'm not up to full mash yet, so keep it simple.
thanks

Hi Bob
I've never tried brewing it, so don't blame me if it doesn't taste like Boddingtons, but the following is apparently the recipe for Boddies adapted for extract brewing - batch size: 5 UK gallons:-
Premium malt extract 2,500 gm Crystal Malt 175 gm (add to boil) White Sugar 115 gm
Start of boil:- Whitbread Golding hops 70 gm
Last 15 minutes of boil:- Golding hops 10 gm Fuggle hops 5 gm Irish Moss 10gm
Boil time 90 minutes OG 1035 FG 1007 Alcohol 3.7%

Why the hell would anyione want to voluntarily copy that crap?
I bet you couldn't copy it, or even get close to it. And, there is plenty worse beers than Boddingtons.
