Brewing Location

I really find it interesting when contributors to this group include their location in their postings. I seem to see plenty of Brits, Aussies, and Yanks. How many others?

We just bought a house in St Marys, Western Sydney Australia.

I also did a full boil on my barbecue for the first time yesterday. Those with electric stoves, I highly recommend using your gas barbecue. Had a much more vigorous boil than the ones I used to get even on my former gas stove.

Adelaide Australia! Melbournites, Sydney Siders, Banana Benders and Sand Gropers wouldn't know a decent beer if they fell over it. Steve W.

Just a bit of fun,

Tassy is Tasmanian. Just winding up the South Australian

I am a New Zealander so we are normally on recieving end from both which in some ways if funny because we are closer to Sydney than most of Aussie.

Canada, eh!

Newfoundland, Canada to be exact(and you better know how to pronounce it properly!) Newf-en-land! NOT Newf-en-lund.

My mate was telling me how the rest of Canada makes jokes about Newfies like we make jokes about Tasmanians.

It was even funnier cos he was asking some high up manager at work who happens to be Canadian....and also happens to be from Newfoundland.

Well you being from there I'll accept that that is the correct pronunciation. Seems odd tho that the first two sylables, get trashed but theres a fuss over the third.

None the less Newf-en-land it is.

my 1st batch which was an acceptable failure. I am currently drinking my second batch which is an acceptable success. Have had to put my next batch on hold since the In-Laws are coming to stay and the wife would prefer the spare room to be free of fermenting beer. She had to wait until I had steralized everything before telling me that!
