made a batch of wheat beer ,it has been working for seven days transferred it to my carboy to clear it up. it was still working so it set in my carboy five to seven days. my question is, I don't think this batch of beer is going to carbonate.I will waite two weeks and see.or should I give it longer.

Why do you think it won't carb?

huh? because it has "sat so long" (i think that is what you are insinuating)? Is it currently in the carboy or have you bottled or kegged it? If you've bottled and did add the bottling sugar then i'd give it a week minimum to carbonate (although you can test it whenever you want). If it's in a keg, what pressure do you have it at and what temperature? If it's in the carboy still... hell yah it won't carbonate in a carboy, the co2 will just go into the atmosphere.

Yeah, you could let it sit for 6 months in a carboy, and it still won't carbonate! :)

The actual carbonation takes place under a "closed" system, like a capped bottle, or a sealed keg. I prefer the keg myself, you can force carbonate just about any beverage you like with controlled results. Have you taken a hydrometer reading to see what's going on in there?

cheers!
