Final Grav for Mex. Lager

Hi, I'm new in these parts so please have mercy on me. I started a Black Rock Mex Lager last week. Mostly because my wife likes it. Might be ok for summer afternoons though. My starting gravity was...1035-1040,after fermentation stopped its....1010. Is this a stalled ferm.? If I can't restart it can it be bottled once clear and use a reduced amount of priming sugar? Say 1/2 cup per 23 liters or so? Don't want any WMD's here you know. andy j.

Even though your beer may seem it has stopped fermenting, it's probably just slowed down a bit. Leave it in the secondary for a week, then take another reading and have a taste. If it tastes dry then you can bottle it without worries using the normal amount of priming sugar.

Unless someone has made the exact same beer that you are doing now, I think it's pretty much impossible to say whether your beer has fermented completely or not. The final gravity varies a lot from beer to another and depends on many things.
