I took 3rd!

An (english) IPA of mine took 3rd place in the Hudson Valley Homebrewers Competition! I'm pretty excited! 1st and 2nd place were both taken by the same guy. I entered for fun, didn't expect to win anything. Time to take the recipe, the score sheets, and shoot for first next year! The judges obviously liked different things tho, one gave me 3 points higher on the taste than the other. Most notable needs for improvement is that it was too light bodied and not carbonated enough, but I'd like to know more about why the one judge really killed me on the flavor (13/20 vs the other's 16/20) even when he stated it was very good with no apparent flaws. Oh well, I have some ideas floating around for the next incarnation to start experimenting with. I also need to improve the aroma (8/12), I held back on the dry hop for this batch because I was experimenting, suppose next time I'll use more. There was also a note about alot of sediment, but that shouldn't be too hard to correct.
