Mini keg

Has anyone had experience with mini kegs? I like making small batches, but would rather use a mini keg instead of bottling. Any tips would be appreciated!

I have a serious aversion to bottling and will only do it for close personal friends which includes women with whom I sleep. My preference is corney kegs.

To me a small batch is anything less than a 5-gal batch. They take as much labor as a 5-gal batch so I only do then if I am ezperimenting.

While I have never used a mini-keg, I see no reason it would not work.

Depending on how long it takes you to drink a batch, you might consider using 2 or 3 liter soda bottles with a CO2 adapter for carbonation. But do not use soda bottles for storing anything longer than two months - one month is preferrable.

I use a Tap-a-draft system with 6 liter bottles and small CO2 cartridges...works very well and saves time on bottling...
