Pilsner Malt & Pale Malt (difference)

Hi, I'm an Italian HomeBrewer and I'd like to know what's the difference between "Pilsner Malt" and "Pale Malt".

I guess is just a (minumum?) difference in the malting preocess, isn't it?

# 2) Is possible to brew a Bitter Ale using the "Pilsner Malt" (instead of Pale Malt)?

Thanx Marco

Pilsner maly\t is kilned a little less than pale malt, so it makes a lighter colored beer. The difference is very slight, though. PIls malt is usually in the 1.5-1.8L range, and pale malt is usually around 2-3 L.

Sure, it'll be fine.
