Question

And i'm sure it's pretty dumb, but here goes nothing....

I've amassed quite a collection of half gallon growlers from breweries around town.

Considering the amount I usually drink in a sitting, it sure would be splendid if I could use these as bottles to condition the ale upon completion of the fermentation process.

Then again, I am not so sure. Would this be possible or is it destined to release CO2.

I really hate washing bottles. The kegerator project is coming along slower (and more expensive) than anticipated.

Alright then. That is all.

Cheers!

If your growlers have a "grolsch" style top you shouldn't have a problem. I have one that I have used for many batches with no ill affects.
