SG stable but is fermentation complete?

I made (my second ever) brew from a 15 litre kit of "fresh wort" in American Pale Ale style. After a 4 or 5 days the SG stabilised at 1015. It tastes kind of sweet and I am wondering whether the fermentation is stuck or this is "normal". It has been in the primary for 8 days now, in the absence of any other information I was going to keg it after two weeks. I made up the kit to 19 litres.

Any tips?

If it's stable, and the low sg remains, it sounds like it's ready to keg. Unlike bottling, if it takes off and ferments a little the bottles won't blow up. Warren Place

Thanks - I am inexperienced in this (my second brew) and I guessed that 1015 was not low. It is definitely bottomed out though.

Just to follow up I kegged the beer and the consensus is that this is a great brew. I can recommend this particular "fresh wort" kit (American Pale Ale).

Thanks for the tips.
