I have not brewed in a few years, but plan on starting again soon. I have
the Cornelius Kegs and they do not fit in my Frige. So....are there any
decent alternatives available in a smaller (2.5 gal) size that easily fit?

Re: Small Size Kegs Available?

There are 3 gallon kegs available that are lower profile than the 5 gallon
kegs, don't quote me but I think there are even 2 gallon sizes available.

I am thinking that I saw an article recently about using recycled soda
machine cylinders.  SS Cylinders used to hold the syrup for coca-cola?

Cheers,

There are certainly 3 and 2.5 gallon cornies available, but for some
reason they are really expensive. You can buy them new from Williams
brewing and a lot of online shops - just google it.

many 5l keg assemblies are available with co2 tapping.
(listermann website). also, i have been able to purchase kegs from the gov
store, empty the contents in a suitable manner, and convert the bung to
homebrewing recyclability...fifty cents for a replacement bung. :)

I've also seen 1 and 1 gallon cornys along with the 3's, 2's and 2's.
But like Randal said, they can be very expensive.  Try locating a SS
junkyard.  Since you only buy by the pound, it really helps with the
cost.
