Tripel

Hi, A friend is brewing a tripel and was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on decent online articles related to trying to approximate a good belgian style tripel?

Anyone want to suggest a good online homebrew shop too?

All info much appreciated.

John

What recipe is your friend using? Is it E/EG/PM/ or AG? Is there a certain Tripel you wanted to match?

Let us know and good luck, Wild

80% pils malt, 20% cane sugar (yes, cane sugar. Don't let all the myths about sugar usage scare you off). Hop with noble hops to about 28-30 IBU. Ferment with WY3787 Westmalle yeast, starting at 64F and letting the temp rise to 68F by the end of fermentation. I took these suggestions from Brew LIke A Monk and have made several batches now that are VERY close to Westmalle tripel.
