yes depending on what type of sugar you are talking about. Also make sure
your yeast can handle the higher alcohol.
I normally prime the beer with less sugar when making a higher alcohol beer
9%-10% because the sugar content when fermentation stops is higher than
normal ie I can't get the yeast to ferment all the sugars in the carboy
