What style are you asking about?
My favorite:
 Schtch Ale:  McEwens
 IPA:         Nugget Nectar
              Dogfish 60, or 90
              Hop Devil
 American Amber:  my own brew
 Irish Red:       a Killian's clone
Barleywine:      a clone built by a local HBer
Pumpkin Ale:     2005 Dogfish Head - when it is 6 months old

Favorites vary.

Free Beer? I'm always skeptical when something appears too good to be
true.

Re: What's Your Favorite Beer

"Favorite beer" is a tough call. So many beers, so many food pairings, =
so many right circumstances for quaffing the right brew.

To entertain your question, though:

Recent raves:
Arrogant Bastard, by Stone Brewing, California
Aventinus Weizen Eisbock, Germany
Saison DuPont, Belgium

Dependable standards:
Murphy's Irish Stout, Brooklyn Brown Ale, Rolling Rock (my 'summer =
swill' beer), Guineess, and whatever I have in my beer cellar (right now =
three kit beers: summer ale, red ale and apricot ale, with an English =
bitter kit getting racked to my secondary fermenter tomorrow).
