I'm was getting ready to brew my second batch today. I'm using the liquid yeast pack (Kolsch) I started it Saturday 5 AM. The yeast pack is at 68deg. and swelled up looks and feels like it's ready to burst.
While cleaning everything I broke my hydrometer. Everything is closed today (Christmas) so I put off my brew.
I'm heading out tomorrow 1st thing to get a new hydrometer but will my yeast still be good.
I read that I can refrigerate it and stop it, then I have to add some kind of yeast starter.
Not sure which way to go. Just use my yeast as is or cool it and the restart it.
Any suggestions
Thanks
