Hou de recommendations?

I'd like to buy some pu-erhs and oolongs at hou-de, but there's so much choice I'm really lost. In oolongs, I don't like Dan Congs and similar teas, and I don't want to get TGY or tung-ting, I don't want to get the most expensive ones or the cheapest; what I'm looking for is some medium-priced but good oolong, a greener type or a wood- tasting, not very dark.

In pu-erhs, I don't have a preference at all, except that I want to stay under $50. I haven't drank that many pu-erhs. I guess I would want to stay away from overly pungent ones..

What would you recommend?

By the way, I've heard recommendations for seven cups and I looked at their site but it seems like all the good teas there are incredibly expensive. Seems like they're 2x-3x over similar teas at Hou-de. Are they really that much better?

I know it may not help much but I recently ordered a few teas from Hou De and one fitting your description might be the 2005 Spring Wuyi Yen Cha "Shui Xian." I'm still working through it and taking notes over the past few weeks, and while I can't say it is my favorite it is a good middle-of-the-road tea. I'll probably post about it sometime this week.

I *think* I already had that one, I just checked my stash and I don't have a bag left from it, but I think that's the one I went through real fast because it wasn't bad at all. That's the kind of teas I'm looking for! thanks..
