20 year old royal brackla rare malt

I have 1 bottle of this whisky and i am thinking of opening it, however a friend informs me this has now become vary scarce indeed and i would be better keeping it as an investment Any thoughts

If you google on royal brackla you'll find quite a bit of information. It's an old distillery, closed in the 1980s and reopened in the early

90s. So it's producing again and if you have a recent bottling, it's probably no rarity.

If you concentrate your search on retail sites (google terms "royal brackla" price, for example) you'll see prices for various bottlings. Some of the older ones, both in terms of when they were produced and how long they spent in the cask, seem to run over 100 British pounds. But I see a 40 year old for only 169 pounds, and that suggests it's not that highly valued by collectors. They can run much, much higher.
