Ardbeg is the necter of the gods

Gunnar et al...

Don't leave. I'm usually just a lurker but chime in when I feel I have something worth saying. I agree that there are some who might be better off listening than speaking but if all you good posters depart, this truly will be a wasteland.

I'm a long time fancier of single malts and have branched off to other libations as well. I don't consider myself an afficianado yet, just an enthusiast. After all it's only been 15 years or so. I was lucky to meet a friend at work some 15 years ago who already had 15-20 years under his belt and he has brought me along in this quest for ever better and more interesting singles (and bourbon, and rum, and rye and vodka [yes even that!] and beer and we trade opinions on wine). But I have found the last couple years reading this group informative and enjoyable, nothwithstanding the rising noise to signal ratio.

Hang out a little more my friends. I really enjoy your company and thoughts!

best regards, Joe Halbleib

I was thinking the same thing. Or it could be a gleam.

Hi again!

Haven't left yet! But my news server had for a few days, so I haven't been able to respond. Compared with the guys who used to post here, I don't reckon myself among the good posters, but I'll probably keep on doing as you: "chime in when I feel I have something worth saying".

Thank you all for your response to my grumpy post!

According to Douglas Adams' "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (chapter

2), the best drink in existence is the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster ;^) But for us here on Earth, I guess Single Malt Scotch is number one!

Rumour has it that Pan Galctic Gargle Blaster was made from a recipe obtained by torturing the Sixteen Men of Tain

Most hard-core malt afficiendos have Ardbeg as the uber-malt if ye ask them

so I think ye better try some more expressions !!

You wont be dissapointed
