Balvenie Portwood

Can anyone help re tasting of The Balvenie Portwood 21yo.

It's a smooth, mellow dram with a sweet but balanced palate. It's a well done port finish, if that is your fancy. For some reason, I always seem to get a wicked case of vertigo when I drink this stuff. Probably unrelated, but I've been hesitant to go back to it after my last two attempts ended in near nausea.

I recently compared it to the Balvenie 10yo, 12yo, 15 yo, 1989 special bottling, as well as the Glenmoranghie Portwood 18yo.

The 21yo was far and away the premier whisky, with wonderful balance, outstanding nose, viscous but not cloying, spirited but not OTT as cask strengths can be, lovely long finish. The 12yo doublewood was second, but by some distance...
