Connemara

Hi,

Has anyone tried the Connemara 12yo? I happen to like the younger Connemara (by the way, how old is that one?) and the Cask Strength, so I'm curious about the taste of the 12yo, but it's a bit more expensive than what I'm used to, around 65 euro. So I'm investigating!

Thanks, Marjon

Never tried it but I like the standard Connemara so I'd be interested to hear opinions.

I recently acquired a bottle of Glenfarclas 12 and was very excited to try. While I liked it for the most part there is one flavor that I cannot put my finger on that I've tasted before. I also get this taste out of Tyrconnell Irish Whiskey.

I don't know what it is but it reminds me a little bit of Tequila. Obviously it doesn't TASTE like Tequila but that is the best description of what I can taste. Anyone else ever experience this or know what I'm talking about? If it is a certain flavor I'd like to be able to avoid it in the future by reading the tasting notes.

Thanks, Tim

The only thing I can equate it to is Tequila. Obviously it doesn't taste like Tequila but there is something there that reminds me of it. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? If this is a certain flavor or note I would like to know what it is.

Thanks, Tim

type 'connemara' and you'll see Royal Mile Whiskies has all three kinds of Connemara on offer.
