Do you ever suffer from Whiskey Guilt?

Sometimes when I have a few drams I later feel guilty or a feeling of doom anxiety and I get a notion like maybe I shouldn't drink. Does anyone have this after drinking? Any ideas on how to avoid or minimize it. Just to let you know, I'm not slamming down dozens of drinks. I am talking about maybe three to four ounces in an evening over ice with a splash of water.

You aren't drinking enough. More drink, less guilt. Time-honored formula.

Maybe your guilt is about the ice and the water.

No guilt atall here. a double or two over ice each nicht, or alternately, a dram neat instead of a second double of Balvenie DW or Highland Park, or Bowmore......

No high blood pressure here, and never any heart problems, for my favorite blood thinner does the trick and doctor agrees. Trick is to drink slowly, even over ice, and especially the neat drams to savor every bit of flavor and (our) heritage.

Hmmm... I just went back and peeked at your other recent posts:

- 'harsh' Balvenie

- 'stockpiling' vast numbers of malts and now 'doom and anxiety'.

You wouldn't happen to be a TROLL now, would you Jimmy? Because I'm thinking a bit too many inconsistancies here.

Enjoy your fun!

I'm shocked! Shocked! How can you think such a dastardly thought, CB?!

ObTopic: Only once. Cracked open a bottle of Cardhu with five friends and the next morning there were three dead soldiers (my prize Highland Park, a 10-yo Auchentoshan, and the original Cardhu) on the table and four men snoring on my two couches. Am told that I kept pouring and never spilled a drop. I'll have to believe them because the evening is kind of blurry.

I know where you're coming from Bob, when I read his first few posts I thought he must be a troll or a mentalist. Yet, he's always on topic and keeps the group busy so he'll do for me.

In what way does that answer the question?

Did you follow the link? ~100+ posts per day at as many unrelated sites = troll

So you think that everyone who posts to usenet using the email address snipped-for-privacy@nospam.com is the same person? Amazing.

Of course they aren't, but they all do seem to share certain tendancies.

John,

Do you have any idea how many people in this world must have the name "Jimmy Smith?" Please, sit in a quiet room, have a dram and do not ascribe the collective evils of the world to me as an individual. You are way off base buddy and as "your friend" I seriously suggest you either go back into cognative therapy or change your medications.

Yes Dave, they do all share certain tendancies. They do not want SPAM!

Have the owners of nospam.com agreed to this?

It's generally a better idea to user '.invalid' as that will never actually exist.

Let's see. Troll checklist time. Been here before, it seems: yup Posting with a pseudo-anonymous email address: yup Accuses others of needing psychological or drug intervention: yup

Looks like a troll, smells like a troll...

Buh-bye...

You know all people who use that nym, do you? Even if you're not a troll, which I doubt strongly, you're associated with every other person using that nym by the nature of being relatively indistinguishable from them.

And there are much better ways to avoid spam.
