Howdy Folks.
I've only checked out this newsgroup once, and I can already tell that you all are going to cost me a lot of money :-)
Anyway, my best buddy goes to his company's yearly regional party last year. Orders a Glenlivet 12 but as the evening goes on, notices everyone seems to be ordering big ticket items, very expensive wine, etc. Finds out later the bar tab for the party was around $ 4,000.
So, THIS year's party rolls around and he decides to go with the flow, so to speak, and orders a nice Glenlivet 18. And another. Then the President and CEO of this multi BILLION dollar company makes his entrance and just happens to be standing next to my buddy as the waiter comes up and asks him, "another Glenvlivet 18, sir ?" Well my friend is, understandably, a little reluctant but nods an affirmative.
The waiter turns to Mr Boss of Bosses and says "and you, sir?" His response was "I'd like a Glenlivet also, but let's keep it to a 12."
I told my friend that he could have told Mr Boss "you know, that's going to be one HELL of a scotch in about 6 years."
