Ok, I have to say something on this, since I did get to sample the Burgundy finish Glenmorangie before I flew back to California from Heathrow last December.
Let me preface by saying I am not a "wine guy", but do appreciate whiskies, bourbons and tequilas.
FWIW, the STRONG Burgundy influence just ruined my appreciation of this Glenmorangie, and I had to apologize to the lady in the duty free shop by saying "Definitely not my cuppa tea." after several sips.
To the Burgundy aficionado, however, this might be appealing.

Hi Garth,
FYI, the Madeira has been discontinued and the Burgundy finish will be introduced in LCBO this fall.
